Why is Biblical Counseling Needed?
Every follower of Jesus offers counsel, whether trained for it or not. When people come seeking answers to grief, conflict, doubt, and sin, biblical counseling draws out answers rooted in Scripture. In the face of life’s hardest questions, biblical counseling offers eternal hope, lasting transformation, and true redemption.
Why we exist
The Apostle Paul planted churches, then returned to teach and strengthen them, training leaders who could carry the gospel forward after he left (Acts 14:22). Biblical Counseling Ministries Worldwide (BCMW) follows that same model today: we train the trainers. We partner with churches, Bible colleges, and seminaries worldwide, training local pastors and leaders in biblical counseling, then step back so they can continue the work in their own communities.
How you can help
Most of our partners around the world do not have access to biblical counseling training geographically or financially. Your support closes that gap, whether by funding translated materials, covering travel for instructors, serving as an instructor, or praying by name for leaders serving in difficult, often unreached places.
The work we do
Biblical Counseling Ministries Worldwide (BCMW) strengthens churches through five channels: training Christian leaders and churches through Life & Godliness Conferences and Church Leadership Training modules, educating leaders and church members through academic training, discipling missionaries and relief workers through our Soul Care ministry, and removing language barriers through resource translation.
Each program builds toward the same goal of equipping churches across the globe to care for their own and fulfill the Great Commission among their own congregation using the wisdom of Scripture.
